So random.

As a trailor, I really did think it captured any excitement the game has to offer. Most of what you displayed has very little substance and I found it hard to keep watching. Really, it was all the random stuff, the guy licking the ground after he jumped from the tree, little bits and pieces that I struggled to piece together...you really could have done better planning out eh story rather than just throwing little bits of the game at us.

The characters has no legs. That was especially weird.

Anyway, make the movie go faster, the characters more real-looking, and the scenes more understandable.

Other than that, everything else was superb.

Moonlight-Dragun responds:

just watch the actual mgs trailer, it's just like mine. the "randomness" was purposely put in there, it's not a summery of the game you know, just a trailer. thanx

Pretty cool!

Well, hopefully Tom gets to see this little Gem, cause it's really funny.

We all knew he sits alone at night playing Alien Hominid =D

Good stuff, and *thanks* for using my song. Keep up the good work!

sjoert responds:

Thank you for submitting/creating that song it fitted in really well, I wanted music from the audio portal only for this movie. Thanks for the great review!

Oh man!!!

That was extremely fun to watch!

I loved the way everything was so well done. Blows Knox's clay stuff out of the water!

You sir, rule!

GAMECUBICLE responds:

Thanks :D

Unique.

I have a few suggestions for you first.

I want to talk about graphical detail for a moment. Your movie seemingly centers around graphical detail, from the effects the book has on the guy, to the memory flashbacks that he has. The beginning scene was the guy walking. The shoes were not detailed enough to represent the seriousness of the movie. Also, the person's hands were drawn very poorly. Work on your colors and you will find that there is much to be gained from the use of many different colors. I did, however, like the drawings themselves. The cartoon pictures in the middle were drawn very well, and they showed me the innocence of the characters they were portraying. It's just with the seriousness of the movie, the pictures could have used a lot more refining.

Now, I'll talk to you about "switching." You started the movie out very dark and mysterious. That was great! But, then you switched it to cartoon-like pictures and the whole sense of evil quickly wore off. If you are going to do that, make sure you maintain the darkness theme you set up so well in the opening scenes. After the cartoon pictures, you switched back to the dark theme. It should either be more of a transition between themes, or the "lighter" scenes should still reflect the "darker" theme you have in place.

The music and sound effects that you placed in your movie were the shining part. They accurately reflected the mood, and I must say, you did an excellent job with the timing of sounds and eerie effects. The background music was also well placed and fitting.

The content of the movie was very random to me. I didn't quite get "hooked" at all in the movie. I found no emotions in myself that I could relate to the movie. That isn't because of you, though. It's just something I noticed.

The way that all the menus were done were very well layed out. You had looping music in the menus and that was a great addition. Plus, everything was easy to navigate. Thanks for that.

In closing, this movie was "out there." Very well done, but still had some loose ends. I would like to see more graphical interpretation next time around rather than text.

Thanks for allowing us to watch. It was very well done. Good luck on your future endeavors =)

Xenosteel responds:

I liked your criticism on the graphics, at least you were one to capture the ‘innocence’ of the characters I drawn, as I mentioned before, combining opposites is my art, and I used innocent characters in the middle of a seemingly horror movie, which may seem wrong to most, but that’s my art! It is true that I need to practice drawing more often so I agree that the graphics need some work

I suppose it is true that the emotional outcome differs from person to person, so I’m not surprised to see that this movie hasn’t stirred you inside, it’s a very human thing, every human is unique

I thank you deeply for such a wonderful review! Everything in it was very useful to me, I thank you again and hope to see you review my future flashes :)

Wow.

I mean, when I voted on it, it was big. Now it's small.

I guess I'll just review it for what it was when it was bigger.

First, it was pointless. The guy just stood there and watched it burn. Boring!

Better luck next time.

IsOnFire responds:

tee hee.

you're funny

Totally boring.

I'm sorry, but this was trash.

All the drawings were done horribly, and you just dictated what you were drawing. Not really good at all.

There wasn't any point, and it would have been nice to see you change the scene once or something, but that didn't happen.

If you were going for the whole "Teen Girl Squad" thing, then you missed it.

alwayss420 responds:

first off.. drawings were ment to be bad.. that was the whole point.. Ugly people need to look ugly on paper and off..

the point being, is that I was bored and figured to make fun of em, not to make some super special effect clip with lots of scene changes and what not.. If i really wished, i could have added more.. but that would be a waste of my time.

and this "Teen Girl Squad" thing that you mentioned.. I dont know if this is a series or what.. but i never heard of it.. nice try tho

Well, not bad, I must say.

If there ever were a prize for having excellent sprite skills, you would have it, plain and simple. This was done beautifully and the sounds, actions, and scenes synched up perfectly.

However, the story progressed a bit slow for me. I think that a lot could have been edited out and replaced with more action.

Anyway, this movie was great. Can't wait to see what happens next. Just keep it entertaining throughout and you will see a huge difference in people's ratings and comments.

Good luck with all that you do!!!

PiGPEN responds:

COMMUNIST RUSSIA SAYS: "HELLO AMERICAN PIGS!"

...i dont know why i said that, i just did.

Not bad!

I like your style. The joke was cute, but it seemed to end rather quickly. I would have spent a little more time, and made it way cooler.

Still, as it is, it is pretty cool. You have talent.

Now go make a longer movie :)

NALO responds:

sorry it ended to quick for you but i am doing other project that are much longer this was just something i did in between those projects when i was bored

Nice!

I loved CTrigger. Thanks for making this. You used your wit and came up with some very good points.

How could your Mom forget your only friend's name???

Anyway, good show. I would like to see what comes up next from the brain fo yours.

Grats!

Cryokenetic responds:

Well, Crono's mom doesn't excatly appear to be the sharpest utensil in the drawer.

Aww, poor egg.

Well, it was definitely sad. When will people realize that eggs have feelings too?

Seriously, it wasn't bad. The story kinda lacked in plot and meaning, but it told a story nonetheless. I would have really liked to know why the egg was so sad. Might have made this movie more meaningful to me.

TheDevilsJoker responds:

I spose i cud do a prolouge. Thanks for the idea

Grind.
